Controller upgrade
Existing situation: A machine built 1995, equipped with a Controller type Simatic S5. After more than 15 years running, the controller has reached its lifetime; errors and failures mounted up and hindered the production. In addition, the visualization software fort hat controller couldn’t be run on modern Windows operator systems.
Our solution: The old controller was replaced by a state oft the art controller type Simatic S7. For this purpose, the program blocks were adapted and programmed to the new circumstances. In addition, the wiring in the cabinet was adapted to comply with actual safety regulations.
Result: Since the installation oft he new controller two years ago, the machine is running without any errors. At appropriate Maintainance oft he mechanical components, a lifetime of another 15 years is realistic.
